This file contains one explanation, how Ransac actually works(mainly from Wikipedia) and the Code for Ransac for 2D
To determine the INFLOW POINT of a river, the functions I mostly used were Clustering and Ransac. Ransac is one of MY most favourite algorithm, due to the fact, that you can extract the maximum amount of points in one line in a 2D pointcloud. The precision depends on the confidence.
The idea of Ransac came out about 1985.
