Hi Matlab enthusiasts,
Would you help me satiate my curiosity with the following question:
Does computational efficiency depend on the formulation of ode? I have a stiff, non linear system of odes. What are some aspects that will help me choose between explicit vs linear implicit (mass matrix) formulation? Given that I'll use ode15s, and that anlytical formulation for jacobian is pretty challenging to derive.
Also are DAE more challenging to solve than the above? If so, could you please point me to references?
