Press any key to reboot the machine". This difference makes me think that something is being booted to the target PC but is not entirely successul. When I attempt to connect to the target PC in Simulink Real-Time Explorer on the host PC I get an Error that reads, “’TargetPC1’ Unable to connect. Check communication settings.” This software setup is individual to each user account in my department’s network. To my knowledge, this method worked for my lab mates on their own user accounts in the past. Now, this method neither works for me or my lab mates on all accounts. Using the same BIOS setup on the target PC, I have also attempted to transfer the boot via Network using the target PC’s MAC address. When I create a boot disk, I see the same progress bar as with the flash drive and receive a notification that reads, “Simulink Real-Time Network Boot Server, Network boot server is started”. From here, I remove the previous method’s flash drive from the target PC, power down the target PC, and power on the target PC. The target PC screen briefly flashes a Boot Agent initialization message and attempts to initialize and establish the link. The client MAC address, client IP, mask, and DHCP IP are all correctly listed on the target PC screen. At this point a notification pops up on the host PC screen that reads, “”Simulink Real-Time Network Boot Server, Booting target with MAC XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX” (insert true MAC address). Lower on the target PC screen an error message reads, “PXE-E11: ARP timeout /n PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel Boot Agent. /n No Boot Device Found. Press any key to reboot.” When I attempt to connect to the target PC in Simulink Real-Time Explorer on the host PC I get an Error that reads, “’TargetPC1’ Unable to connect. Check communication settings.” Do you have advice for identifying whether the issue stems from the host PC, target PC, or hardware connection between them? It is unclear whether the host and target PCs are truly communicating or whether the target PC simply has its own information and the host PC simply lists the information about the target PC that I gave it without truly communicating with it. EDIT: Attached is potentially useful information found through MATLAB Command Window on the host PC. After attempting to boot the target PC via USB removable drive (with the same black screen mentioned before), I was able to successfully ping the IP assigned to the target PC in CMD. My attempt to boot and connect the target PC is still unsuccessful.
