The toolbox enables you to import vector and raster GIS and geospatial data into the MATLAB^®environment. You can import data from standard file formats and certain specially formatted data sets. The data can include georeferenced imagery, digital terrain elevation models, various global and local data grids, GIS points, lines, and polygons, and GPS waypoints and tracks. You can export vector and raster data to standard formats, enabling you to share data with Geographic Information Systems and other geospatial applications.
