Import CAD and Robot Models

Export non-VRML models from CAD (computer-aided design) tools (including CATIA) and robot visual representations (URDF files) to use with万博1manbetx®3D Animation™

You can import a model developed using a CAD or 3D modeling tool into aSimulink 3D Animationvirtual world. You can import CAD models from STL, FBX, VRML files, and CATIA®software.

You can import visual representations of robots from URDF, STL, SDF, and Collada DAE files.

Topics

Use CAD Models with the Simulink 3D Animation Product

Adapt existing CAD designs for use with theSimulink 3D Animationproduct.

Import STL and Physical Modeling XML Files

Import CAD models, which frequently use STL (STereoLithography) format files or Physical Modeling XML files.

Import 3D Models from CAD Tools

Import VRML models from CAD tools by converting your product assembly model into the VRML format used by theSimulink 3D Animationsoftware. Most CAD tools have VRML export filters.

Import VRML Models from CATIA Software

Use CAD designs created in the CATIA product to createSimulink 3D Animationvirtual reality scenes.

Modify the CAD Model Virtual World

Use the 3D World Editor or other editor to modify the results of CAD tool export filters manually.

Import Visual Representations of Robot Models

Import robot and robot environment 3-D models that are defined using unified robot description format (.urdf)或模拟描述格式(.sdf) into a virtual world.

Link to Simulink and Simscape Multibody Models

Establish a live data connection between the model and the virtual world by creating associations between dynamic model object quantities and corresponding virtual world object properties.
