Description

Theswitchblock models a two terminal switch. The input Simulink^®signal,V_ctl, controls the transfer of the RF Blockset™ signal from theInterminal to theOutterminal.

If the control voltage is less than the threshold voltage, the block attenuates the signal using the resistance value specified inOff resistancebetween the input and output terminals. If the control voltage is greater than the threshold voltage, the block passes the signal using the resistance value specified inOn resistancebetween the input and output terminals.

Threshold voltage of the switch, specified as a scalar in volts.

The voltage–current relationship for the switch, or controlled resistor:

Where,R_offis the off resistance,R_onis the on resistance of the switch,V_ctlis the input Simulink signal, andV_thresis theThreshold voltageof the switch.

IfR_onis less thanR_off, andV_ctlis greater or equal toV_thres, the switch is on.

IfR_onis greater thanR_off, andV_ctlis greater or equal toV_thres, the switch is off.
